Integrity and reliability are the foundation of our governance culture, helping us gain and retain the trust of all our stakeholders. We are committed to following and practicing the highest level of corporate governance within all our business functions. We continuously engage with our employees, shareowners, and clients to ensure that we adopt best practices at the management level. We continually update or enact new corporate governance policies or disclosure to further enhance transparency and accountability. Being a technology services company, we believe that we are responsible for our clients’ and other stakeholders’ information assets. Hence, an efficient data-security program remains the cornerstone of all our operations. Zensar develops comprehensive guidelines and policies to promote and implement sustainability across our value chain.
Zensar focuses on constructing shared value within the business for all the stakeholders, local communities, and the planet. Employees are our assets, and we believe that a safe and healthy workplace is a business imperative. Our employees are encouraged to engage in various learning and development programs to help them hone their skills and capabilities. As an equal opportunity employer, we are committed to ensuring a supportive and inspiring work culture where anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies apply to employees of all genders and regions. We understand that it is essential for an organization to manage humanity’s social and economic challenges. It is also crucial to identify the causes of these issues and provide solutions that empower communities to be self-reliant.

Embedded in our strategy, we believe that we have a long-standing responsibility to reduce the carbon footprint of our operations, to efficiently manage water and waste at all our locations, to handle the short and long-term risk and impact that climate change has on our business, and to partner with businesses, organizations, and communities for driving meaningful actions to create positive change. Further, we have made it a practice to monitor the usage of all our resources, and we will continue to track and report our progress and strengthen our goals as needed to drive improved performance.

Achieve Net Zero GHG emissions by FY’40
Climate change is society’s greatest challenge. We face the risk of severe heat waves, droughts, water availability, extreme precipitation, loss of flora and fauna, unpredictable weather, rise in sea level, melting of polar ice caps, and the degeneration of marine ecosystems. For humans, the impact involves loss of food security, vector-borne diseases, and loss of small islands and coastal communities. At Zensar, people and communities are at the center of our actions. As a result, our detailed and rigorous endeavor is to identify our emissions, of which a significant portion occurs outside our control. Therefore, it is vital that we not just mitigate our emissions but also focus on helping our vendors and suppliers reduce theirs. Greater emission reduction will happen by increasing our energy efficiency and the efficacy of our operations. We already have energy efficiency initiatives planned, ranging from LED lighting systems to optimizing energy consumption.
Become water positive by FY’25
Water is essential to all living beings. Protecting, recycling, and reusing water is an endeavor and responsibility that we have as a company. With climate change, the global availability of clean, safe water is also reduced. The impact of water shortages is especially drastic for vulnerable communities. Caring for water is more than just using less water. We must also make sure those vulnerable have access to clean water and proper sanitation. Some of our efforts to achieve water positivity include:
a) Developing a watershed for the community to move toward water positivity
b) Creating rainwater harvesting facilities and upgrading sewage systems
c) Installing digital water meters to monitor and control consumption
d) Increasing waste recycling and establishing a kitchen garden at our campuses
e) Putting in place an organic waste converter (OWC)
